Julie Penshorn is a USDF
Certified Instructor and participated in the USEA Instructor
Certification Program. She has been teaching and training for almost 40
years and is a seasoned competitor in both dressage and eventing. Her
students and she have won at Trott Brook, Otter Creek and Wayne, and
claim many dressage awards at Training through FEI levels. See www.sunbornstables.com. Julie believes the rider's seat is the key
to the success of the horse and rider in any discipline, and is a
specialist at helping you effectively communicate with your horse so you
can have fun riding safely over fences. This clinic will feature a
variety of fences including the sunken road, trakhener, water complex,
Normandy bank, and ditch.

Monday, June 21, 2010
Throughout her more than 20 years training and competing horses,
Becky has won numerous competitions, and area and national awards. None
was more gratifying than when she and her equine partner, Courageous Comet, represented the United States as part of the U.S. Eventing Team at the 2008
Olympic Games in Beijing.
Becky has trained with some of the best coaches, working extensively
with Capt. Mark Phillips, and David and Karen O'Connor. She was
selected to participate in the United States Equestrian Team (USET)
training sessions with Eventing Team coach Capt. Phillips in 2000,
2001, 2002, 2004 and 2005. Since she began teaching at age 16, she has
served as coach and instructor for riders competing at all levels -
from Advanced down to Beginner Novice. Now training out of Carriage
House Farm in Hugo, Minnesota, she is proud of her students who hail
from all walks of life, including professionals, young riders and
amateurs. She currently serves as the USEA 2005 Area IV Young Rider
Coach and instructor for the Junior Developing Rider Program (JDRP) in
